WHS Course handicap tables

The course handicap tables updated with WHS changes from 1st April 2024

The world handicap system has now been introduced in Great Britain.

Your handicap is now your handicap index, it reflects your demonstrated ability. Your handicap index will be converted into a course handicap depending on the difficulty of the course you play; it also depends on what tees you play off that day. For competitions you now have a handicap allowance which is applied to your course handicap, this then becomes your playing handicap.
Your handicap index will be the average of the best 8 of your last 20 scores.
If you have a handicap index you can check your course handicap using the signs we have next to the first tee and on a notice board outside the pro shop. If you are playing in a competition your handicap is worked out for you by a system, it will show you your course handicap and your playing handicap with the percentage taken off. You can find your handicap index on Club V1, or the Pro shop can get it for you.
To get a handicap index you need to have three 18 Hole cards or six 9 Hole cards these need to be checked over and signed by somebody who has a handicap. Once you have all the cards you can hand them into the Pro shop to be passed onto the handicap team.
